In Hindsight 2019
One of the often cited "rules" of street photography is that you should never photograph a subject from behind. But why not? While visiting Moscow and St Petersburg in summer 2009, I constantly encountered subjects for whom the view from this this profile suggested its own narrative (a "back story", if you like!). Here some of the results of the project.
